About Department of Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical Engineering ,the broadest and evergreen branch among all engineering disciplines – deals with design and production of tools, machines ,thermal engineering and all other mechanical equipment used in various industries.

Mechanical Engineers are the driving force behind many of our technologies and industrial processes including innovative products in modern world. They find application in all fields of technology & could work in any industry whether private or public sector. With the rapid rate of expansion in industrial sector, the employment potential for Mechanical Engineers is very high. The department has privilage of having dedicated team of faculty members headed by Prof. B.K Garg. The team is perfect blending of accademicians,ex industy personnels & researchers.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering came into existance in the year 2004 and presently offers both undergraduate and postgraduate courses in various facets of Mechanical Engineering. The department has laboratory and workshop facilities with modern sophisticated equipment ,to carry out research in all areas related to Mechanical Production , Industrial & Thermal Engineering

Constantly strive to improve pedagogical methods employed in delivering the academic programs. An interactive relationship is maintained between the students and staff which enable the students to develop a sound foundation in the stream, in a conducive environment. This is also reflected in our campus placement which resulted in our students getting placed in the top industrial houses of the country. The facilities developed by the department are in accordance with the National Standards.
